Dr Joanna Lin is a medical oncology specialist currently practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Her practice includes general oncology consultations, cancer chemotherapy and cancer screening.
Dr Lin obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from King’s College Hospital in England and worked at several London teaching hospitals in general internal medicine and oncology positions. She is admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, Member of the Hong Kong College of Physicians, Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Physicians, Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Hong Kong.
Dr Lin was previously an associate consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology, National University Hospital, Singapore, and an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology, Chinese University of Hong Kong/Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong.
Dr Lin is the medico-legal adviser to the Medical Protection Society of Singapore, and sits on the Singapore Medical Association Professional Indemnity Committee, the Gleneagles Hospital Continuous Medical Education (CME) Committee, the Mount Elizabeth Hospital Accreditation Committee and the Singapore Society of Oncology Executive Committee. She has written book chapters, published in several international journals and presented papers in many regional and international medical oncology symposiums.
Dr Lin is an active committee member of the Singapore Society of Oncology which organises lectures and meetings for oncology doctors in Singapore to network and in particular with visiting overseas oncologists. She also actively supports the hospice movement in Singapore, and has been a part-time volunteer consultant at the Assisi Home and Hospice. Dr Lin has given lectures in support of patients and their support groups such as the Breast Cancer Foundation and the Singapore Cancer Society.
