Cardiology Masterclass For General Practitioners
Masterclass Overview
The tremendous advances and improvements in the detection, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases are undeniable. In the past 30 years, we’ve seen a worldwide reduction in cardiovascular (CV) deaths and Singapore is no exception. The proliferative literature on clinical trials and guidelines can be time consuming for a busy General Practitioner to digest.
Gleneagles Hospital is proud to bring you The Gleneagles Cardiology Masterclass – an exciting initiative that captures a comprehensive overview of the best practices in cardiology today.
Components of the Programme
This program has 2 parts:
1. Inaugural Symposium
The symposium will focus on some of the key topics in cardiovascular medicine. The program includes didactic summary lectures, debates, hands on demonstration on cardiovascular technology and a grand-master round featuring challenging cases.
2. Gleneagles Cardiology Masterclass Series
Each discussed topic from the one day symposium will be expanded upon during the monthly Gleneagles Cardiology Masterclass Series. The Series aims to focus on in-depth and more comprehensive learning of the various important topics in cardiology, e.g. hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias including ECG interpretations, structural heart disease, congenital heart disease, etc.
The monthly Series will be half day programs (approximately 3 hours) and similar in format to the symposium.
