Thwin 医生在新加坡国立大学医院接受了胃肠病学和肝病学的高级专科医生培训，并于 2010 年获得新加坡医务理事会专科医生认证委员会的认可。2013 年，他在伦敦国王学院医院（King's College Hospital）肝移植研究所完成了肝病学高级研究员培训。
Thwin 医生于 2006 年获得英国皇家内科医师学会 (Royal Colleges of Physicians) 会员资格。随后，他于 2011 年获得由皇家医学院联合会 (Federation of Royal College of Physicians) 和英国肠胃病学会 (British Society of Gastroenterology) 颁发的肠胃病学专业证书。2015 年，他成为爱丁堡皇家内科医师学会 (Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh) 会员。
Thwin 医生自 2013 年起在国立大学医院担任胃肠病学和肝移植学顾问，主要照顾普通胃肠病患者、各种病因导致的终末期肝病患者和肝移植受者。他曾任新加坡国立大学杨潞龄医学院助理教授，广泛参与医学本科生和研究生的临床教学工作。
