Hospital Facilities

Our facilities

Gleneagles Hospital is supported by specialised facilities as we commit to delivering optimal clinical outcomes for our patients.

Intensive care unit (ICU)

Our intensive care unit (ICU) places top priority on patient-focused care for critically ill patients. Our team of medical professionals ensures patients receive the special care they require. We also strive to provide a restful and peaceful environment for patients and their family and friends.

High dependency unit (HDU)

The high dependency unit (HDU) is an intermediate care unit for patients who require a higher level of observation, treatment and nursing care compared to a general ward.

Also known as a step-down unit or progressive care unit, being able to move to the HDU is a good sign of progress – it means that the patient is gradually resuming normal eating and sleeping patterns, and is a step closer to going home.
