    • Am I Fully Covered for Treatment at Private Hospitals?

      With an Integrated Shield Plan and a full rider that that provides coverage for private hospitals, you may be fully covered for treatment at Gleneagles Hospital.

      How will the new 5% co-payment rider guidelines affect me?

      If you purchased a full rider:

      1) Before 8 March 2018

      Your coverage is not affected. Together with an Integrated Shield Plan that covers private hospitals, you can be fully covered for treatment.

      2) After 8 March 2018

      You will still enjoy full coverage on co-insurance and deductible till 1 April 2021. Following which, the 5% co-payment applies.

    • Can I Use My Integrated Shield Plan for A&E treatment?

      If your visit to our Accident & Emergency (A&E) department warrants a hospital admission with a minimum stay of 8 hours, you can use your Integrated Shield Plan that covers private hospitals (with a full rider) to pay $0* for both your A&E outpatient bill and your inpatient treatment.

      Some policies also cover the A&E outpatient treatment, up to a certain limit. Contact your insurer agent to understand your full policy details.

    • Things to Know before Admission at Gleneagles Hospital Singapore

      Before you are admitted for your procedure at Gleneagles Hospital, here are a few things you should know:

      Letter of Guarantee

      Upon admission, please provide your identification number to our admission staff at the admissions counter, level 2. The Letter of Guarantee can be raised electronically through our computer system for the deposit.

      The Letter of Guarantee constitutes a waiver of deposit and can be issued for up to a total of $10,000. This amount may vary according to your Integrated Shield Plan. To clarify on the amount you can obtain for a waiver of deposit, please check with your insurance provider.

      Deposit of Hospital Bill during Admission

      If you do not have a Letter of Guarantee, you will be required to pay the full hospital bill deposit upon admission. For example, a hospital deposit bill is $18,404, and if you have a Letter of Guarantee that covers the amount of $10,000, then the deposit you will need to pay upon admission will be the remaining $8,404.

      Hospital Bill Collection upon Patient Discharge

      The hospital will collect the full amount of the hospital bill upon the patient’s discharge. Using the example above, the amount that must be paid upon discharge will be $18,404*. As mentioned above, a Letter of Guarantee acts as a waiver of deposit, and does not act as a waiver for the outstanding balance upon discharge.

      Claiming your Gleneagles Hospital Bill

      Your Gleneagles Hospital bill is typically submitted 3 working days post-discharge. The hospital bill is submitted via our electronic claims system and sent to your Integrated Shield Plan’s insurance provider directly for processing. There is no need for the patient to send further paperwork. Most claims are fully reimbursed between 6 – 8 weeks.
