Price Guarantee Procedures

Unexpected medical bills can be a significant source of stress, especially when you're preparing for surgery. That's why we've developed the Price Guarantee Procedures programme — a patient-first initiative designed to give you greater financial peace of mind.

This programme removes the guesswork from hospital bills by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate personalised, procedure-specific cost estimates. The price you're quoted during financial counselling at pre-registration is the price you can count on. No surprises.

Hospital fees are determined using a Single Point Estimate (SPE) — not a price range — calculated by our AI engine based on factors such as:

• Surgical codes (TOSP)
• Length of stay
• Bed type
• Patient demographics (e.g. age and gender)

We guarantee this estimated amount at the time of pre-registration. Even if unexpected complications arise during your stay (up to a 7-day length of stay), the hospital will honour the original SPE — as long as you're eligible under the programme.

Promoting price transparency

The Price Guarantee Procedures programme currently applies to 6 common surgical procedures and is part of our ongoing efforts to make healthcare costs more predictable and transparent.

We've also rolled out other initiatives with the same goal, including our online hospital bill estimator, available since 2020, which helps patients understand their likely out-of-pocket costs based on insurance plans and riders.

How the programme works

A simple journey that gives you price certainty, every step of the way:

Step 1: Specialist consultation

You start by consulting with one of our specialists, who will assess your condition and discuss treatment options.

Step 2: Confirm your treatment plan

Once a diagnosis is made and a specific surgical procedure is agreed upon, you're ready to move forward.

Step 3: Financial counselling

You'll then be referred to our hospital's Business Office, where a financial counsellor will walk you through the estimated costs.

Step 4: Personalised bill estimate generated

Using Artificial Intelligence (AI), we'll generate a Single Point Estimate — a personalised cost based on your treatment plan, hospital stay, and more.

Step 5: Pre-registration at a guaranteed price

Once you're comfortable with the estimate, you'll pre-register for your procedure — and we'll lock in that amount as your guaranteed hospital bill.

Step 6: Peace of mind post-procedure

Even if complications arise from the stated procedure during your hospital stay (up to 7 days), your hospital bill will not exceed the pre-registered amount — giving you true financial certainty.

Inclusions and eligibility

Hospital charge inclusions:

• Applies to single surgical procedures only
• Only applicable for non-robotic surgeries
• Single Point Estimate includes histology charges performed by Parkway Laboratories and excludes doctors' charges

Eligibility:

• Open to Singapore residents with a pink or blue National Registration Identity Card (NRIC)
• The Table of Surgical Procedure (TOSP) code used at the time of the patient’s admission and/or discharge must match the Price Guarantee Procedures programme's approved list of TOSP codes for the selected procedure
