  • Dr Lim Yi-Jia is an orthopaedic surgeon practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Dr Lim’s special interest is in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery.
  • Dr Lim underwent subspecialty fellowship training in 2010 at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre, as well as with the Victorian Hand Associates in St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Besides his subspecialty training, Dr Lim is an experienced surgeon in the management of patients with knee, foot and ankle problems. He has also treated many patient with upper and lower limb trauma, including fractures, ligamentous and muscle injuries sustained in sports and motor vehicle accidents.
  • Dr Lim was formerly director of the Shoulder and Elbow Service in Changi General Hospital. During his tenure, he spearheaded the professional development and training of junior and senior doctors in procedures including arthroscopy, joint replacement, trauma surgery and reconstructive surgery of the upper limb. Dr Lim is also highly sought-after by regional doctors desiring to learn advanced techniques in upper limb surgery and reconstruction.
  • To enhance his knowledge for the purpose of improving patient care, Dr Lim is actively involved in research. He has been published in both local and international orthopaedic journals and has been invited to present his multiple research studies in worldwide conferences. Dr Lim continues to participate as faculty in local and regional upper limb training courses for surgeons.
  • Patient-centric medical practice has always been Dr Lim’s passion and calling. He has won multiple service awards during his tenure in public service. He was the recipient of the Singhealth Star Award in 2012. From 2014 to 2016, Dr Lim was the Chief Tournament Physician for the Women Tennis Association’s Finals held in Singapore.
