The Parkway Asian Transplant Unit is a unique in-patient ward in Gleneagles Hospital solely dedicated to the care of patients with various liver conditions that require specialised care. These include the highly complex living donor liver transplantation, liver dialysis and even babies with biliary atresia.
Jointly managed by Gleneagles Hospital and Asian American Liver Centre, the Parkway Asian Transplant Unit is outfitted with sophisticated medical equipment and designed to provide advanced care for patients to ensure a safe and comfortable stay. Our collaboration with Asian American Liver Centre – Asia's leading centre for liver diseases and liver transplantation – has allowed the development of clinical pathways and protocols that have significantly improved the levels of patient care.
Since its establishment, Parkway Asian Transplant Unit has become a centre of excellence and has achieved many significant milestones, such as gaining recognition as the most active living donor liver transplantation unit in South-East Asia. As part of our emphasis on patient-centric welfare, we also utilise a state-of-the-art, custom developed telemedicine device that not only allows remote monitoring of patients' conditions, but also facilitates doctors’ communication with patients and nurses anywhere, anytime.
For our international patients, Parkway Asian Transplant Unit is able to facilitate a smooth transition between the countries of residence and Singapore for both patients and their families. We also provide a host of services to ensure a hassle-free experience. These include emergency air and land evacuation with accompanying doctors and nurses, assistance with patient repatriation documentation and arrangements for local accommodation and transportation.
