  • Parkway Asian Transplant Unit

The Parkway Asian Transplant Unit (PATU) is a unique in-patient ward in Gleneagles Hospital dedicated to the care of patients with various liver conditions that require specialised care. These include the highly complex living donor liver transplantation, liver dialysis and babies with biliary atresia (narrow, blocked, or absent bile ducts).

Jointly managed by Gleneagles Hospital and Asian American Liver Centre, the PATU is equipped with modern medical equipment and designed to provide quality care for patients to ensure a safe and comfortable stay. The hospital's partnership with Asian American Liver Centre has resulted in much improved patient care.

Gleneagles Hospital also uses modern technology to allow doctors to keep track of patients' conditions and discuss health-related matters with patients and nurses from anywhere and at anytime.

For international patients, PATU is able to facilitate a smooth changeover between the countries of residence and Singapore for both patients and their families. Services include emergency air and land evacuation with accompanying doctors and nurses, assistance with paperwork to send the patient back to their home country, and arrangements for local accommodation and transport.
