Dr Goh studied in King’s College Hospital Medical School, London, did electives in Duke University Medical School, Durham NC USA, and Department of Surgery, McGill University, Montreal Canada, and graduated with a double degree in Science and Medicine. He received his surgical training in the Wessex Region, England. He also completed his training in colorectal surgery at St Mark’s Hospital for Diseases of Rectum & Colon, London.
Prior to running his private practice in 1995, Dr Goh was a surgical specialist in Sarawak, Malaysia. He also was a Lecturer in Surgery at the National University of Singapore. He was also the Founding Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Singapore General Hospital. Dr Goh is currently a visiting consultant to the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Singapore General Hospital as well as to the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the National University Hospital.
Dr Goh has published 88 papers in peer reviewed journals such as the Singapore Medical Journal, Journal of Clinical Pathology, British Journal of Surgery, GUT, Internal Journal of Colorectal Disease, Annals Academy of Medicine and International Journal of Oncology. Dr Goh has also written chapters for textbooks and quest editorship.
Dr Goh’s clinical interests include Colorectal Cancer, with specific interest in Key-hole surgery, Sphincter preserving surgery, Screening with colonoscopy and Cancer prevention. His other interests include Piles or Haemorrhoids, Complex Anal Fistula Surgery, Diverticular Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
