Experience

Dr Wei-Wei Wee-Stekly is an obstetrician and gynaecologist (OBGYN) at Gleneagles Hospital.

In addition to managing pregnant women and delivering babies, she also provides consultation and treatment for endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, adenomyosis, hyperplasia, polyps, polycystic ovarian syndrome, ectopic pregnancy, menstrual disorders, premenstrual symptoms, vaginal infections, cervical cancer screening and vaccination, pre-conception counselling, family planning and birth control, and perimenopausal and menopause management. She also specialises in gynae laparoscopy (keyhole surgery).

Prior to private practice, she was a senior consultant with the minimally invasive surgery unit at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Dr Wee-Stekly graduated from Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ School of Medicine, Kings College London, UK. She also obtained her master’s degree in Singapore.

She is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, UK, and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She received the Health Manpower Development Plan award for training in advanced laparoscopic surgery, subspecialising in endometriosis. She completed her fellowship training at the Bern Inselspital Hospital, Switzerland.

Being a Level 3 accredited laparoscopic trainer at KK Hospital, Dr Wee-Stekly is involved in teaching and training other gynaecologists locally and regionally to perform safe laparoscopy. She was a clinical educator and adjunct instructor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, physician faculty member for the OBGYN residency programme and an adjunct assistant professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and SingHealth DUKE-NUS OBGYN academic clinical programme.

Dr Wee-Stekly is a recipient of numerous awards including the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards and Service from the Heart Awards.
