Wong 医生是新加坡鹰阁医院、百汇东岸医院和伊丽莎白医院的胃肠病专家。
他的专长是反流和吞咽障碍、肠易激综合症（IBS）、肠道微生物群、慢性便秘和腹泻以及结肠癌筛查。
Wong 医生于 1998 年获得新加坡国立大学（NUS）学位，曾在公共部门工作 18 年。他是医学院 (Academy of Medicine)（新加坡）和皇家内科医师学会 (Royal College of Physicians)（爱丁堡）的院士。Wong 医生也是亚洲少数几位获得美国肠胃病学协会（American Gastroenterological Association）授予研究金的胃肠病专家之一。
Wong 医生曾获得卫生部奖学金，前往美国北卡罗来纳大学功能性胃肠道和运动疾病中心 (University of North Carolina Centre for Functional Gastrointestinal and Motility Disorders) 接受亚专业培训。回到新加坡后，他领导了功能性胃肠病学服务，并建立了治疗肠易激综合征的新方法。作为胃肠道运动实验室 (Gastrointestinal Motility Laboratory) 的高级顾问和临床主任，Wong 医生将新的运动和反流测试引入新加坡，为食道疾病的诊断和管理带来了新的见解。
他是新加坡国立大学的兼职副教授和新加坡国立大学医院的客座顾问。
他撰写了大量经同行评审的出版物和书籍章节，并经常受邀作为教师在国际科学会议和研讨会上发言和主持会议。他的研究成果多次获奖，并在国际会议上发表和引用。
Wong 医生是国际食道和肛门直肠诊断标准工作组、医学顾问委员会和国家委员会的成员。他还代表亚洲参加起草食道和肛门直肠疾病新指南的国际委员会。
他经常在媒体上发表文章，并在广播和电视上分享肠道健康知识。他曾担任肠易激综合征支持小组 (IBS Support Group)（新加坡）主席，目前仍是该小组的顾问。
